Artist's Statement: Chooks

I was inspired by the vivid colours of these quirky looking animals. The bright red combs the orange sometimes quite angry looking eyes. Their faces were so amazing to paint with their prehistoric characteristics. Not to mention the endless variety of colours, shapes and sizes of the actual birds. The interaction between the birds was also fascinating.
